Frequently Asked Questions
What does the inspection include?
The inspection is visual to all property components to which the inspector has access according to industry standards, and includes: Exterior; the visible part of the foundation, the roof, electrical, plumbing, appliances, interior, A/C, and heater.
When should I expect the inspection report?
At the end of the inspection report, we will provide you with a summary of all deficiencies found, showing you where they are located, followed by a brief explanation of what was observed during the inspection.
Is the inspection worth my invesment?
For such a low investment, the information and benefits obtained are very high; in ocassions, you could be saving thousands of dollars.
When should I request the inspection?
You should request your inspection as soon as possible so it can be scheduled the day you need it. Remember that there is a limited time window in which the inspection can be done and any repairs should be solicited to the property vendor, in case the real estate transaction includes it.
How many years have you been inspecting?
We have been performing home inspections for over 15 years and have completed over 3,000 inspections.
How long does the inspection last?
A typical inspection (2,000 SQ FT home) will last around 2.5 hours, but this may vary depending the property conditions.
What is the cost of a home inspection?
We base price on square footage of the home and the year the property was built in. Prices can vary depending on property conditions, you are welcome to contact us for a free estimate.
Will I be able to attend the inspection?
Absolutely! We encourage our custumers to attend the inspection. The last 45 minutes of the inspection are designated for a questions and answers session where the inspector will walk you around to show and explain any findings.
Do you maintain membership in any inspector associations?
Provision inspection Services is a member of the NACHI, National Association of Home Inspector. As a requirement, our home inspectors will do a minimum of 24 hours of continued education each year, but in reality the inspector does more than 50 training hours per year.
Have you taken part in any continuing education programs lately?
During the last three months, we have taken Residential Thermography, Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) or Termite Inspections, Wind Mitigation training, Moisture Inspections, and more.
